All residents are welcome to attend and -- most importantly -- to bring their questions. The event will be videotaped by WCTV and replayed periodically during ensuing weeks on a schedule to be determined by WCTV.
The agenda is as follows: boards and committees having a contested race appear first. This year, those include (4) for 2 openings School Board, Board of Selectmen uncontested, and (3) for 2 openings, Planning Board and (2) for 1 opening for Supervisor of the Checklist. In that order, beginning with the School Board race, candidates for each contested board will be invited to the front table together as a separate group. Candidates for uncontested offices will follow.

In the interest of fairness, candidates’ statements and responses are timed. Each candidate s invited to present a two-minute introduction and two-minute closing. Answers to audience questions are limited to two minutes each.
The exact time allotted for each board or committee depends on two things: how many candidates attend the event (still uncertain at this time as several have not yet responded to their invitation), and of course, the number and complexity of questions from the audience. For those reasons, and also to allow conclusion at a reasonable hour, the allotted time for each Board’s or Committee’s questions and answers will ultimately be at the Moderator’s discretion.
Audience questions must be in legible writing (index cards will be provided), and will be collected by two designated runners who periodically deliver them to the Moderator, for minimal disruption.
This year’s Moderator is Jean Morrow, long-time member of the Woman’s Service Club. The timer is Su Bennett. The Coordinator for this year’s event is Ruth-Ellen Post.
