Community Band Prepares to Ring in the Season
The annual holiday concert is set for Dec. 18.
There will soon be plenty of holiday cheer in the Windham High School auditorium as the Windham Community Band is getting set for its final concert of the year.
The sixth annual holiday concert will take place on Dec. 18 and feature all three of the band's performing groups playing a wide range of music for those in attendance.
According to a release from the band, the Windham Flute Ensemble will play in the lobby before the concert both as the audience arrives and during intermission.

There will also be refreshments and desserts served during the intermission.
Swing music will also be on the agenda as the Windham Swing Band will be in attendance and directed by Rob Daisy.

Jared Cassedy, who was last seen at the Windham tree lighting on Dec. 3, will join Becky Pierce to direct the Windham Concert Band.
Included on the playlist for the concert band will be "Sleigh Ride," "Carol of the Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "O Holy Night" and "Jingle Bell Fantasy." There will be at least 11 songs played by the band in total. Many of the songs were also performed under the tent during the tree lighting.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and tickets are free for children. Adults are requested to give a $5 donation to the band.
