Drunk Wrong-Way Driver Goes 18 Miles Before Being Stopped: NHSP
Even after troopers laid spikes at the Hooksett Toll Plaza, that didn't stop Chelsea Cormier of Windham from allegedly attempting to flee.

WINDHAM, NH – A local woman was arrested early this morning after allegedly attempting to evade police while driving drunk the wrong way on the Everett Turnpike and I-293.
Chelsea A. Cormier, 24, of Windham, was arrested on Dec. 10, 2015, on a driving while intoxicated charge.

According to state police, at around 1 a.m., Troop B troopers began receiving reports of a driver in a Toyota Prius on the Everett Turnpike near Exit 13 driving north in the southbound lane.
“The suspect traveled through the Bedford tolls and continued onto I-293 northbound towards the Hooksett Toll Plaza,” according to Sgt. James Steinmetz of the NHSP. “State Police Dispatch received multiple calls on the wrong way driver from different motorists.”

In Hooksett, troopers deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle and were able to hit two of the four tires on the Prius. The driver, later identified as Cormier, allegedly pulled into the breakdown lane south of the rest area, and then pulled back onto the highway, attempting to flee on two flat tires.
Troopers blocked the vehicle and Cormier was arrested.
