Strawberry Festival Contest Winner

After a children's contest was announced over a month ago to decide on a logo for the 2012 Strawberry Festival and Book Fair, a winner has officially been crowned.
Kyle Gschwend, 8, of Windham won the contest for his strawberry hot air balloon drawing.
Artists ages 12 and under were asked to create a design for the festival's publicity that reflected the themes of strawberries, books and community.

The picture depicts the hot air balloon flying over Nesmith Library.
All contest entries will be displayed at the June 2 event, but Gschwend's will be used for the posters and publicity leading into the festival.

The event, which is Windham's largest community gathering, will take place at Windham High School.
Proceeds for the festival go to Nesmith Library.
