28 years ago (September 18th next week) I held my hand up proudly and officially entered the United States Marine Corps. An incredible journey on every level of my life past and present. It’s incredible how time flys.I hold those times close to my heart and will forever be proud to of served my country. One week prior to that (tomorrow….Sept 11th) is a day we all live with on multiple levels as well.
This country was united in its tragedy. The devastation will forever scar our hearts but at the same time it has a major impact of the importance of staying close as a nation and having appreciation for the freedom we all are lucky (privileged) to have. Our freedom came at a cost of many lives in its honor. As someone who personally offered my own life to protect our country I fully respect the value of it.I do not take freedom for granted. In honor of every life lost on the anniversary of Sept 11th and all the lives sacrificed for our freedom I hold my heart high and respectfully salute.
Tomorrow I ask that you sit and ponder how truly blessed you are to reside in this country. Its a true gift to enjoy its greatness. My utmost respect to all families and friends of anyone involved on Sept 11th .
