Cole Yennaco kicked off the ball to begin the first quarter of the home opener. Aiden Williams stopped the ball on the 45 yard line for the defensive tackle. Within minutes, the Pelham Razorbacks scored the first touchdown of the game. With the Wolverines on offense, Josh Sweeney, Christian Burns and Jake Micciche all had positive yardage driving the ball down the field, however, it was not enough and the Razorbacks got the ball back. With the Wolverine defense on the line, Michael Matuszewski, Andrew Noel, Lukasz Rondeau, and Hayden Kushman all made strong defensive plays against the Razorbacks. Hayden Kushman took the Razorback out of bounds at the 23 yard line to get the football back for the Wolverines. Teammates Michael Matuszewski and Brady Mahoney drove the ball down the field to gain yardage for the first and second downs.
To begin the second quarter, the defensive line of Tucker Adams, Nick LaRoche, Sam Stewart, and Alec Arinello defended the ball. Henri Kulesza tripped up the Razorbacks. Bryan Desmarais, assisted by other teammates, stopped the Razorbacks from gaining any more yards giving the Wolverines back the football. Timmy Hoffman, on offense, gained several yards to take the ball down the field to end the first half.
The Wolverines began the second half with an exciting start on the 45 yard line. After running the football down field, Aiden Williams punched it in for a Wolverine touchdown and Jake Joyce drove in the extra point to put the Wolverines on the board. The Wolverines defended the ball with Jonathon Fitzmaurice, Billy DePietro, Aiden Goss, Logan Carter, Matthew Desmarais and Caleb Yeung all protecting their goal line.

To begin the fourth quarter, quarterback Nick Furnari threw the ball to Brady Mahoney who took it in for the Wolverines second touchdown. Lukasz Rondeau scored the extra point to get the Wolverines back in the game! Although the Wolverines fell short, Evan Logue, Anthony Marinaro, Ryan Parke, Dylan Yeung, and Jake Galiatsatos all contributed to an exciting home opener against the Pelham Razorbacks. A special thank you to the Tiny Mites Cheerleaders for cheering on their Wolverine Football team. Next game is away on Sunday, September 15th against Keene.
