Grade 6 Highlights

The sixth grade Wolverine football team faced off against rival Pelham Razorbacks in week two of the season. Windham won the battle for field position in a hotly contested first half that featured a fumble recovery by Jack Matuszewski and a Riley Desmarais touchdown.                         

The second half was fought between the forties with strong play by Nathan Boucher, Bobby DiCicco, Jack Flanagan and Parker Rice. Two more fumbles were recovered by Luke Shramm and Jack Potter. Pelham scored in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter sending the game into overtime after the Wolverines shut down their two point attempt.                                            

Both teams took their shots from the twenty five yard line with four downs to score. Jake Dunlap hit Shramm with a beautiful pass that went to the one nearly ending the game. Pelham scored with a run up the middle during the ensuing overtime period defeating Windham by a score of 12 to 6.
