Windham High School hosted an event called "Driving Skills for Life," on Sept. 21, running students through a course designed to teach safe driving tactics.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, juniors and seniors from Windham High School headed out to the parking lot for a day of safe driver education.

Hosting the event as part of a 30-city tour was Ford Motor Co., which brought four cars along for the course including two brand new Mustangs. The students were educated in a variety of areas, including maintaining safe speeds, texting and driving while impaired.

Officials from both the police and fire department were on hand to take part in the activities and to watch the students run through the course as well.
