About 150 people raced at Windham High School on April 15.

The first annual "Build It" 10K and one-miler drew about 150 runners on April 15 to Windham High School.

The fundraiser was organized by high school track coaches Kate Jackson and Ryan O'Connor as well as Windham police officer Jess Flynn. The purpose was to generate some funds toward a track at WHS.

O'Connor deferred all of the credit to Jackson and Flynn, calling them "blessings to the community."

He went on to praise the town and the turnout for the race.

"Windham has always been a great town," O'Connor said. It's my hometown and I love it. It was nice seeing so many familiar faces having a great time. It's an event we plan to continue and improve upon in years to come.
