Hundreds lined the streets with lawn chairs and flags to watch the annual Memorial Day parade cruise down Lowell Road and Cobbett's Pond Road.
Band students at all grade levels in the school district took part in the celebration, as well as town officials, school officials and state representatives. Dozens of veterans and emergency management officials also joined the procession.
The event culminated, as it does every year, with a ceremony at the Cemetery on the Plain. That involved a symbolic raising of the flag as well as the laying of two wreaths.
