Soleil Salon offered haircuts before Saturday's big game.

To prepare for their upcoming championship game, about 15 players on the Windham High School Varsity football team were treated to pregame mohawks on Nov. 8 courtesy of a local salon.

Soleil Salon and Spa owner Luisa Garcia,  mother of senior Kenny Padin, invited all players of the team to get their hair styled for a good cause. Participants were asked to bring an unwrapped gift for a child to be distributed to Toys for Tots this holiday season.

The event was designed as a way to rally the town into the winning spirit as the team prepares to take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Dover.
