The organization put on four performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Over the weekend, Windham Actors Guild held its fall production of "Arsenic and Old Lace," a play written in 1939 by Joseph Kesselring.

The WAG performances took place in the high school auditorium and were directed by David R. Ramsey, who lives in Kingston and founded the Kingston Community Theater.

"Arsenic and Old Lace" is a comedy that revolves around Mortimer Brewster, a theater critic who has to deal with his murderous family. The part of Mortimer was played by Dwight Stearns, an experienced actor who has been performing in front of audiences since the third grade.

14 actors including Stearns were listed in the credits for the production. Some of the actors have been performing for many years while others were in front of and audience for the first time. Several of the performers have worked all over the world.

Some of the actors were also local, including Bill Merrill, who serves as a Windham firefighter. Merrill performed the role of Teddy Brewster during the four productions.
