Kindergarten Project Right on Schedule
The construction is reportedly coming in just under budget.

Over two months after Windham residents , the school board is reporting that the project is coming in under that budget.
According to School Board Business Administrator Adam Steel, the Golden Brook School project is coming in right now at about $2.06 million. He said the original hard cost was adjusted from close to $2.5 million to $2.1 million.
Steel also said that they are planning on shaking out some additional savings.

"We're getting ready for the foundation to be done either next week or after the first of the year," said Steel.
He went on to say that bids have also been received from the subcontractors.
GBS Principal Debra Armfield also gave positive views, brushing off the disruption of the construction.
"It's a little vibration during the day but it's all exciting so we're fine," said Armfield.
She also commended parents for being "flexible and understanding" about the repeated changes in traffic patterns.
Also recently set in motion was the site work on London Bridge Road where a new middle school could potentially be built. Steel said that Appledore Engineering has already been dispatched to test the site.
That information should be available to the board in early January.
