By Shawn Foster

My name is Shawn Foster, and I am running for the Windham School Board. I have lived in Windham with my wife for 12 years and have appreciated being able to raise our family here. With five school-aged children, we feel that it is time to give something back to the community.

My background includes 20 years of leadership in organizations involving the education and development of children and youth, serving on several nonprofit boards, business ownership, and a Master of Arts degree from Gordon-Conwell. I believe that my experience and ability to work well with others will enable me to make a valuable contribution towards ensuring that our children receive the best education possible.

As Windham faces the challenges of continued growth, it becomes increasingly important for accountability and prudence in the use of our resources. I believe that educational results should match the significant financial investment that is being committed by the residents of our town. With the current resources that are available to us, we should have one of the best educational programs in the state.
