Maine Trucker Drives Off I-93, Crashes, Dies: NHSP

Daniel Farnsworth of Cherryfield, ME, perished on Tuesday morning after an early morning crash in Windham.

WINDHAM, NH — A truck from Maine passed away earlier this week after a crash on I-93 North in Windham, according to the New Hampshire State Police. Daniel Farnsworth, 48, of Cherryfield, ME, was found unconscious and slumped over the driver’s seat of a 2003 International tractor-trailer unit at around 6 a.m. on March 26, 2018. According to Staff Sgt. Bryan Trask of Troop B, troopers and Windham Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the area of the Exit 3 off-ramp for a crash.

When they arrived, first responders found that ;a truck, owned by Garnett Trucking out of Steuben, ME, had drifted off the right side of the highway.

“The tractor-trailer unit struck several snowbanks before stopping in the soft shoulder,” Trask stated.

Emergency personnel rendered medical aid to Farnsworth and transported him to the Parkland Medical Center in Derry where he was pronounced deceased.
