Bentman fell off the motorcycle, and with the help of another motorist was able to lift the bike up and move it to the breakdown lane. Police said he left the scene in another vehicle without giving his driver information to Salzman.
Police said he was later located at his job in Amherst. After a warrant was issued, Bentman turned himself in at the Merrimack Police Department, where he was charged and then released on $750 personal recognizance bail, according to police.
