NH DOT: Expect More Lane Closures on I-93

Cold planning and paving will begin in the Exit 3 area on Friday and last about two weeks, according to officials.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced today that on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 cold planing and paving will begin on I-93, Exit 3, northbound off- and on-ramps, Route 111, and Route 111A, according to a press statement. The work on Route 111 will be between the Exit 3 SB interchange and the Range Road intersection, with work on Route 111A being from the new Route 111 intersection to a point 50 feet west of Armstrong Road.

The work is scheduled to be between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Lane closures, according to the NH DOT, will be utilized to perform this work. Uniformed officers, flaggers, and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone. Minor traffic delays can be anticipated. This work is weather dependent which may cause this work to be delayed. The work is anticipated to last just under two weeks.

This work is part of the construction of the final northbound I-93 roadway alignment and northbound ramps in the vicinity of Exit 3. Weaver Bros. Construction of Bow is the general contractor for the $32.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion at the end of October 2016.
