Huge Marijuana Bust In Windham: Police

A Manchester man was charged with felony drug possession with intent to distribute following traffic stop on I-93 southbound.

WINDHAM, NH — New Hampshire State Police seized what they called “a large quantity of marijuana” during a Tuesday morning traffic stop on Interstate 93 in Windham. A Manchester man was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to distribute.

Police say they stopped Michael Melo, 21, of Manchester, on I-93 southbound at approximately 9:30 a.m. When the marijuana was discovered, Melo was arrested and brought to the State Police Barracks for processing. He was then bailed and released, pending his arraignment.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at Rockingham District Court on April 12 for the felony drug charge, as well as transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle and license required.
