Night Work Coming to I-93

​The New Hampshire Department of Transportation says be prepared for highway changes, work, next week.

CONCORD, NH – Night work is coming to I-93 next week, specifically, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, on the southbound side of the highway, between Exit 3 and Exit 4.

Between Mile Marker 10.6 and 10.8, a stretch of I-93 three-quarters of a mile south of Exit 4, construction operation will take place starting on Tuesday, July 5, through Thursday, July 7. The construction is weather permitting.

“The work that takes place during this time frame will consist of drainage and paving across the existing southbound travel lanes,” according to an alert from the NH DOT. “Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 to be reduced to one lane utilizing a lane closure.”

The work will take place during non-commuter hours – about 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs, according to the notice.

The work is part of the $49 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project located between Exits 3 and Exits 4. The general contractor is R.S. Audley Inc. of Bow.
