After Smith made the stop, Selcuk immediately jumped out of the vehicle and charged Smith and said "What are you gonna do?" in a "menacing" manner, according to police.
Police said Selcuk ignored several orders to get back in his vehicle, Smith "was forced into a violent physical confrontation with the suspect" and had to deploy his Taser on Selcuk.
Police said Smith held Selcuk on the ground and got him into custody.
Selcuk was processed and transported to Rockingham County jail pending arraignment in the 10th Circuit Court of Salem.
