On March 13, Windham voters will see some very important school warrants on the ballot in relation to facilities.

While the warrant article language and total dollar amounts are not final until after a February deliberative session, these are two of the tentative articles as they read now. The first would get the ball rolling on the building of a new seventh and eighth grade school on London Bridge Road.

While it wouldn't set the construction in stone, voters would be committing $714,000 in architectural and engineering fees to develop designs and drawings for the project. While that article starts looking toward the long term, the second is all about the short term.

If passed, the school district would enter into a five-year lease purchase agreement for portables at Windham Middle School. The athletic fields at WMS would also be relocated, and two additional teachers would be hired. The cost would total $2,172,539 for the lease purchase agreement, $1,284,508 for the first year's lease payment and field relocation and construction and $179,208 for the new teachers.

Other warrants include the FY13 budget and the splitting from SAU 28, both of which are in the attached PDF.

We want to hear from the voters. Sound off in our poll with what option or options you think are best.  Be sure to comment on why you made your selection, and also email michael.ryan@patch.com with feedback. This poll will be open right up until March 13.
