This is our second in a series of polls asking how you will vote on various school and town warrant articles. asking whether residents will support a withdrawal from SAU 28, which is warrant article 5 on the school ballot this year. Now we are focusing on the operating budget, warrant article 6, to see if residents will support that article come March 13. The proposed operating budget has been shaken up in recent weeks following an amendment placed at deliberative session to add $563,619 to that budget for the purpose of teacher raises. The final proposed operating budget being voted on is $44,390,524. Should the budget pass, the added money would not go directly to teacher raises. An agreement with the teachers and approval of that agreement by the voters in a special meeting would have to be reached first. Vote below on whether you will approve or not approve article 6 and sound off in the comments.
