Santander Bank In Windham Robbed: Cops

Windham Police were assisted by Salem Police after the Santander Bank on Wall Street was hit this afternoon.

WINDHAM, NH — Police in Windham are investigating a bank robbery on Wall Street. According to Capt. Mike Caron of the Windham Police, at 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2018, the Santander Bank at 3 Wall St. was robbed. The suspect is a white man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium build, a goatee, and possibly reddish hair.

“A lone white male entered the bank and began yelling that this was a robbery,” Caron alleged. “The suspect threatened that he had a handgun but never displayed one. He approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied by handing over an undisclosed amount of cash at which time the suspect fled the bank on foot.”

The man was wearing a navy blue pullover sweatshirt with an Under Armor logo on the hood. He was wearing gray sweat pants and dark colored gloves with “a distinct logo.” The suspect was reportedly seen running from the area and getting into the passenger side of a vehicle parked behind the bank, Caron added. The vehicle was described as a silver passenger vehicle with an older white male driving. The vehicle is presumed to have headed south on Wall Street to the intersection of Route 111.

The Windham Police were assisted at the scene by the Salem Police Department and the case remains under investigation.
