Scholarship in Memory of Windham Resident

The deadline to apply is May 23.

A scholarship is going to be given in the memory of lifelong Windham resident Carol Yennaco, in association with the Windham Women's Business Connection.

The 2012 award will give $1,000 to a female who is graduating from Windham High School this year.

In honoring Yennaco, the WWBC refers to her as a business pioneer who served as a community leader.

The spirit of this particular scholarship is to recognize a student who has demonstrated concern for her community through her volunteerism and who has consistently set an example of a positive innovating spirit.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 23, and the winner will be notified on May 29.

Submit applications to Julie Lichtmann in the Windham High School Guidance Department. Only completed applications will be considered.

The scholarship is also in accordance with the Windham Endowment for Community Advancement.
