Study: NH Has Some of the Best School Systems in the USA

Granite State schools rank 4th although improvements are still needed, according to WalletHub.

A new study eyeing school systems across the United States has found that New Hampshire’s systems rank in the Top 5, out of 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The data research firm WalletHub eyed 12 metrics to come up with the rankings and found Granite State schools ranked 4th in the nation overall, according to the report.

Schools in New Hampshire were second in math and reading test scores and in the Top 10 for lowest dropout rate and pupil-to-teacher ratios. School systems were also in the Top 10 when it comes to actual education spending.

Bullying rates, however, were high, putting the state at 32nd, or in the lower two-thirds when compared to other districts. That helped drop New Hampshire down to 15th in the educational output and safety ranking, although that’s still above average, nationwide.
