Suicide Incident Reported at Windham Police HQ

Breaking: Limited information is available about a situation in the department's parking lot this afternoon.

WINDHAM, NH — Police in Windham have released a short statement about a possible attempted suicide incident that occurred at police headquarters this afternoon. According to Capt. Mike Caron of the Windham Police, at around 3:45 p.m. on May 2, 2017, a man drove into the police department’s main parking lot. A short time later, he noted, “the individual exited his vehicle and attempted to take his life with a firearm.”

The man was transported to an area hospital by Windham Fire and Rescue teams, he noted.

“The incident is currently under investigation by the police department and the identity of victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin,” Caron noted.
