Superintendent Issues Kindergarten Update to Parents

According to the message, SAU 28 has gone to great lengths to ensure children's safety.

SAU 28 Superintendent Dr. Henry LaBranche issued an update to parents on Nov. 7 regarding the Golden Brook School kindergarten wing construction.

According to LaBranche, the school district has gone to great lengths to ensure children's safety during the project. SAU has worked with the construction staff to make sure each construction employee has a proper criminal background check. They are also maintaining close communication with the construction staff about all movement of equipment on the site.

LaBranche went on to urge patience amongst residents as the district progresses through the phases of the project.

In the release, he issued three different playground area accomodations that are being made for Golden Brook students:

1. The pre-school facility has some space available for students to play that will be maintained as a playground throughout the winter;

2. We have had a donation of some snow equipment that can be used during the Winter months to keep students engaged during recess; and,

3. Once the new road is paved, it will be maintained as play area for the students with restrictions to car traffic during recess time.
