Thomas: Regina Birdsell a strong voice in Concord for her district

Two years ago, the voters of Hampstead, Windham and Derry elected Regina Birdsell to the state Senate and gained a strong voice in Concord.

In today’s society, discussing politics and one’s choices on Election Day are topics of dismay around water coolers, in restaurants, bars and even at the dinner table. Voters who once saw themselves as involved and proactive feel removed from the process, without influence, and without a voice to be heard.

Two years ago, the voters of Hampstead, Windham and Derry elected Regina Birdsell to the State Senate and gained a strong voice in Concord. Regina has shown outstanding dedication to our district and truly redefined the term “public servant.” Constituent service defines elected officials and the voters of District 19 know she is only a phone call or email away.

Over the past two years, Regina has proven she is a principled legislator with a strong dedication to the communities within District 19. She has worked with the Department of Transportation to ensure Interstate 93’s expansion continues, worked with our local Chambers of Commerce and passed legislation that will allow businesses to advertise on the highway rather than just at the exits, supported our state’s balanced budget that cut taxes on businesses without raising any taxes or fees, and supported an increase in funding for addiction services and law enforcement to combat the opioid epidemic.

I hope you will join with me in supporting Regina Birdsell for re-election to the New Hampshire Senate this fall and keep your voice heard in Concord.
