Three Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Three people are dead in an apparent murder suicide this afternoon in Salem, according to the attorney general's office.

Attorney General Michael A. Delaney issued a press release moments ago saying that one adult male and two adult females are dead, all of apparent gunshot wounds. The identities of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family members. Autopsies have yet to be scheduled.

Delaney said the investigation is still ongoing, but there is no reason to believe that there is any danger to the public.

Neighbors have said a couple lived in the home, but they did not have any children.
