Three More Positions Contested as Filing Deadline Nears
Races for School Board, School Treasurer and Town Treasurer are now contested

As the Friday filing deadline for town and school elections nears, three races on the March ballot have gotten a lot more interesting.
Starting with the Windham School Board, a third candidate, Jim Curtin, has entered the ring to fight for one of the two open positions. Incumbents and , as previously reported, will not seek re-election.
Heather Petro and Richard Forde will also be on the ballot in March.

There have also been rumblings of at least three other residents running for one of the open school board positions, but nothing yet confirmed just over 48 hours away from the deadline.
Also on the school side, Donna Sawyer has decided to run for treasurer. Incumbent Maura Pennisi had previously filed, so at the moment it is a two-person race for the single position.

Corey Lewandowski, who filed for town treasurer on Jan. 25, will also be joined on the ballot by another name. Incumbent Bob Skinner has decided to run once again in 2012.
