Toastmasters Club to Host Open House

A free open house of he Winning Speakers Toastmasters of Windham will take place tonight at the Windham Senior Center.

The event will allow residents to meet the members of the club and see how a typical meeting is run.

According to a release from the club, the event will also help newcomers see how the organization can benefit them, whether they are a profesional who is asked to give presentations or someone starting out in a new career.

Club 3608 President Claude Peltz issued a statement:

Winning Speakers Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills.

Members and guests will listen to prepared speeched, following by a regular Toastmasters meeting to follow which includes impromptu speeches and evaluations.

The main speaker will be Lorie Wilson, IV, who is a nurse at Children's Hospital Boston.

The club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
