Town Of Windham: Planning Board Seeking Volunteers

The Planning Board is seeking interested citizens to voluntarily serve on their Design Review Subcommittee (DRC) and Capital Improvements Program Subcommittee (CIP). There is one vacancy for each subcommittee.

DRC: The role of the Subcommittee is to review Planning Board applications for conformance with the Design Review Regulations and provide guidance and recommendations on these applications to the Planning Board. The Design Review Regulations are for commercial development in the Village Center District; Market Square Overlay District; Gateway Commercial District; Neighborhood Business District; and the Professional, Business, and Technology District. The DRC currently has a vacant alternate member seat available.

CIP: The CIP is a budgetary document that forecasts major town and school expenditures for a projected eight-year period. This document strives to ensure that the necessary community services and facilities are provided in accordance with the financial capabilities of Windham taxpayers. The CIP subcommittee will hold its first meeting of the new budget season in the summer and it is anticipated that the subcommittee’s work will be concluded by mid-October.

If interested, please submit a letter of interest to: Community Development Department, c/o Alexander Mello, Director, 3 N Lowell Rd, Windham, NH 03087, by July 1, 2022. It can also be emailed to DirectorCD@WindhamNH.gov. You must be a permanent resident of Windham to be considered. Interested candidates will be requested to attend a Planning Board Meeting to introduce themselves to the Planning Board and to entertain any questions.
