VIDEO: School Board Candidates

The school board portion of the Feb. 21 candidates' night sponsored by the Windham Woman's Club brought budgetary concerns to the forefront.

Six of the seven candidates vying for two open positions were in attendance, tackling the recent development of over $563,000 beind added to the operating budget warrant article during the deliberative session.

Candidate Carolyn Therrien called it "extremely dissapointing," saying that it was not the forum to add the money. 

Other candidates like Mike Joanis touted their experience working on the high school committee, while candidate Shawn Foster explained what his role has been as a voter, taxpayer and father.
