According to Community Development Director Laura Scott, these workshops are not about just educating business owners local to Windham. The goal is for a betterment of businesses in the surrounding region.
"I would much rather have 10 businesses in the region be improved than have one business in Windham," said Scott.

The previous two meetings have been well attended, with about 20 business owners from around the region each time. They took place in the fall and winter of 2010.
The corporate sponsor for the event is Bank of New England, which has locations in both Windham and Salem.
According to the community development website, this talk will circulate around what it means to be sustainable, and how sustainable practices will help a business.
