Windham Dollars for Scholars Drive Begins Today
Collections will take place for each class from the Class of 2013 to the Class of 2025.

It seems a little early to be thinking about the Class of 2025. But, it’s not too early to participate in the Windham Dollars for Scholars “Class of” fundraiser.
Windham Dollars for Scholars is now in its second year and money will be collected during the last two weeks of January, beginning today.
Last year, the program was able to provide $3,500 in scholarships to Windham High School’s first graduating class.

“We would like to establish a long-range plan to fund scholarships for each graduating class, Said Julie Lichtmann, guidance director at Windham High School. “We’ll be collecting for each class from the Class of 2013 right down to the current kindergarten’s Class of 2025.”
Containers for change will be provided for each classroom, and envelopes for donations will be sent home with every student.

Windham Dollars for Scholars will match up to $200 to the highest contributing class in each individual school. The third-grade class will be considered part of Center School.
Businesses are also encouraged to sponsor a class by making a donation.
Windham Dollars for Scholars will also hold a Trivia Challenge fundraiser Friday, Feb. 15, at Margarita’s in Salem. Thirty teams of four will participate and applications are being accepted. The cost for each team to play is $100. Applications can be downloaded at http://www.windhamsd.org/whs/guidance/welcome.cfm.
Return the application form with a check for $100 made out to Windham Dollars for Scholars to P.O. Box 892, Windham, NH 03087, or send a check to the high school with Att: Julie Lichtmann.
“We’ve already sold half the number of teams,” Lichtmann said.
