Windham Family Displaced By Fire

The Red Cross is helping a local family after a 2-alarm blaze on Juniper Road this morning.

WINDHAM, NH — The New Hampshire/Vermont Region of the American Red Cross is assisting a family of two adults and two children after a fire at their home on Juniper Road in Windham. The fire was first reported at just after midnight. Mutual aid was also called in from Londonderry on Jan. 5, 2018, according to alerts online.

The fire quickly went to two alarms with firefighters reporting that the fire started in the basement of the home.

Jennifer Vaughn of the Red Cross noted that a family is displaced by a disaster – most usually a home fire – on average every 17 hours in both New Hampshire and Vermont.
