Windham Police Seek Witnesses After Fiery 3-Vehicle Crash

A Derry man and two Hampstead women were injured last night but are expected to survive after crash on Salem Road.

WINDHAM, NH — The Windham Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a fiery, three-vehicle crash last night on Salem Road. At just before 6 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2018, Windham Police as well as firefighters from both Windham and Salem were called to the road for a report of a crash. Upon arrival one vehicle was engulfed in flames, said Sgt. Daniel Clark of the Windham Police Department in a press statement.

A Derry man and two Hampstead women were injured in the crash.

“The operator was pulled from the burning vehicle by several civilians and the first responding officers,” he stated. “All were transported to area hospitals with varying degrees of injury and are expected to survive.”

The Salem Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a cause of the crash, at this point, according to Clark.

Salem Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
