Windham Town Election Results
Voters make decisions about Board of Selectmen, other positions, budgets, and zoning articles.

WINDHAM, NH - Voters went to the polls in Windham on March 8, 2016, and made decisions about zoning proposals, school and town budgets, and competitive town offices.
In the Board of Selectmen’s race, Jennifer Simmons easily beat Gabriel Toubia, 2,585 to 715.
In the Planning Board race, Kristi St. Laurent (2,292) and Ruth-Ellen Post (1,810) easily won the two three-year seats with Stephen Mavrellis rounding out the pack with 1,240 voters.

Mary Griffin won the Supervisor of the Checklist race against Roy Dennehy, 2,346 o 904.
In the school board race, Dennis Senibaldi easily beat Eileen Mashimo, 1,966 to 1,395. Matthew George Rounds received 115 votes, placing third.

Voters also approved a $13.56 million town operating budget by a vote of 2,722 to 1,053.

Zoning articles
Voters approved all but one of the zoning amendments, including a new Market Square Overlay District. The zoning article that failed was a proposal allowing hotel/inn height restriction uses in the gateway commercial district. The vote was 1,612 to 1,977.

School articles
Article 2: $38.95 million Golden Brook and Windham Middle School construction: 3/5th vote needed, defeated, 2,275 to 1,706.
Article 3: $4.244 million track and field facility: 3/5th vote needed, defeated, 2,088 to 1,898.
Article 8: $48.59 million school operating budget: Approved, 1,956 to 1,884.
