Winter Weather Advisory for Windham Tonight

Snow, sleet and freezing rain are all in the forecast.

While not much snow is expected to accumulate tonight into Friday, a winter weather advisory is still in effect due to some other nasty conditions headed the town's way.

Starting at 7 p.m., snow, sleet and freezing rain are all expected to hit Windham and the rest of the interior portion of Rockingham County.

According to the National Weather Service, the snow will begin late in the evening and accumulate up to one inch. The sleet and freezing rain will mix in after midnight.

This will cause ice on roadways and sidewalks. Ice accumulation could also lead to downed branches and power outages.

Temperatures will be in the mid-30's with wind gusts ranging from 5 to 15 mph.

The National Weather Service alert is warning drivers to be prepared for both slippery roads and limited visibility, and to use caution while traveling.
