$1M Powerball, Mega Millions Tickets Sold In NJ

The $1 million wins come less than a week after someone in New Jersey purchased a $223 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket.

NEW JERSEY — Winning Powerball and Mega Millions tickets worth $1 million each were sold in New Jersey for two recent drawings, according to lottery officials.

While no one won the jackpot in Friday's Mega Millions drawing, a ticket sold in New Jersey matched all five white balls to win the $1 million second prize. Friday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 1, 25, 26, 31 and 65. The red Mega Ball was 2 with a Megaplier of 3X.

The winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at 7-Eleven located at 280 Main St. in New Milford.

A ticket sold in New Jersey for Monday's Powerball drawing was also worth $1 million, according to Powerball's website. That means the winning ticket matched all five white balls.

Monday's winning Powerball numbers were 30, 48, 53, 58 and 66. The Powerball was 9.

New Jersey lottery officials said the winning Powerball ticket was sold at Shop Rite Livingston, located at 483 South Livingston Ave. in Essex County.

The winning tickets were sold less than a week after someone in New Jersey purchased the $223 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket for the June 10 drawing.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday's estimated jackpot is worth $56 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tuesday's estimated jackpot is worth $61 million
