2 Snow Threats, Returning Arctic Plunge Forecast For NJ This Week
Another frigid week in New Jersey brings two chances for snow, according to the latest forecast.
Two chances for snow across New Jersey are in the forecast as a frigid stretch continues on, according to the officials.
The first snow is Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. A coating to one inch of snow is expected, particularly south of I-78, forecasters said. Localized amounts of more than one inch are possible in South Jersey.
Areas north of I-78 could see flurries but nothing more than that.

"Overall, minimal impacts are expected with snow ending by Wednesday morning," the National Weather Service said.
The next chance of snow comes Friday and possibly into Friday night as a strong clipper system ahead of an Arctic front passes through the state, National Weather Service forecasters said.

"Too early for any specifics on this system, but a period of light snow and/or snow squalls appear to be on the table," National Weather Service forecasters said.
In between, another cold week is in store for New Jersey. This is the longest stretch of consecutive days below freezing since December 2017/January 2018, according to the National Weather Service. As of Sunday, Trenton has seen nine consecutive days below freezing and the Atlantic City Airport has seen seven days.
The records for those areas are 17 and 14 consecutive days below freezing, respectively.
