8 Inches Of Snow Possible In NJ Storm Late Sunday: Latest Forecast
Forecasters say 4 to 6 inches of snow are in store Sunday into Monday, with up to 8 inches possible locally.

NEW JERSEY — The Garden State could see up to 8 inches of snow in a storm Sunday night into Monday, the National Weather Service said Friday afternoon.
That storm will follow a light dusting of snow Friday. South Jersey is expected to see the higher ends of these snow totals in both storms, forecasters say. For Friday's storm, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties.
"The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute," the National Weather Service warned.

Dry air will push the storm offshore by 9 or 10 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday will be the calm between the storms, though frigid, Arctic air will keep things blustery and cold. Temperatures during the day will feel like the teens, dropping to single digits at night.

Then, more snow is coming Sunday evening.
There are a lot of variables that are still unknown. But National Weather Service forecasters predict 4 to 6 inches of snow in Central and South Jersey, with 6 to 8 inches possible in the Philadelphia metro area depending on how the storm plays out. In the more northern part of Central Jersey, it should be between 2 to 4 inches, with less than 2 inches in store farther up north, according to the National Weather Service.
No advisories have been issued as of Friday afternoon due to the uncertainty with the forecast, the National Weather Service said.
The heaviest snow is expected late Sunday into Monday morning, AccuWeather forecasters said, so it could disrupt commuting, particularly for those in the Philadelphia metro area.
It should depart by late Monday, forecasters say. Again, it will still be very cold, so whatever snow accumulations we do see are likely to linger for a while.
