6 Inches Of Snow Possible For NJ In Latest Forecast
Forecasters say that a storm Sunday night into Monday could drop up to 6 inches of snow in South Jersey.

NEW JERSEY — Forecasters are predicting a heavier snowfall for South Jersey on Sunday, as several rounds of Arctic air are headed to the Eastern United States.
AccuWeather predicts there will be at least three major blasts of Arctic air in the coming days and weeks. The first outbreak will be Friday and Saturday. The second blast can be expected mid-week next week, from Jan. 7-8. A third round is predicted on Jan. 11-12.
A light dusting of snow Friday will be followed by up to 6 inches of snow Monday, as two winter storms hit New Jersey during the first frigid blast that will send temperatures dipping to the 20s.

A storm prediction map from AccuWeather shows South Jersey receiving 3 to 6 inches of snow, with Central Jersey getting 1 to 3 inches and none at all far up north.
The chances of far South Jersey (south of Philadelphia) receiving more than 4 inches of snow are between 60 to 70 percent as of Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

AccuWeather forecasters warn that the timing of this storm, Sunday night into Monday morning, could disrupt travel during commutes with slippery conditions.
It should fade late Monday, though flurries and light snow could continue through the evening, the National Weather Service said.
As frigid temperatures continue, the snow will likely stick around for a while. AccuWeather says there's a chance of another winter storm late next week, which could bring snow and ice along the Atlantic coast. But it's too early for any solid details on that.
