1. New details have been released about a fatal crash that the now-wife of Sen. Bob Menendez, who was accused alongside him and three others in a federal indictment, reportedly caused in 2018. Nadine Arslanian fatally struck a man crossing a Bergen County street, then had a businessman finance a replacement ride in exchange for a favor from the senator, the report said. 2. A team of rescuers helped a 22-foot long minke whale that became stranded twice just off Barnegat Bay, and marine mammal experts are monitoring the creature in case it becomes stuck again. Minke whales are a federally-protected species, and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center asks anyone who sees the whale to call their 24-hour hotline. (Read more on Patch.)

3. Multiple police officers including the chief, plus off-duty lifeguards and surfers, had to save people Tuesday from rip currents off the coast of one Jersey Shore borough. 4. A North Jersey woman, seen on video berating a group of young German tourists on a train, has lost her HR job at a Manhattan company. She told them to "get the (expletive) out of our country" during the three-minute rant, which was shared widely on social media, while a man with her pleads with her to stop. (Read more on Patch.)

5. Officials said a mother, father, and their two children aged 6 and 10 were found dead in their Plainsboro home Wednesday evening, after someone requested a welfare check at the home. Authorities are asking for anyone with information, or surveillance footage, to call detectives. Based on initial investigation, authorities said they determined there is no threat to the public.
