Blue skies and sunshine are in the forecast for this year’s Mother’s Day, but not before some rain moves through New Jersey earlier in the week.

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, Monday will feature “sunny and seasonable conditions” before temperatures jump into the 80s on Tuesday.

Though it won’t be as windy as it was on Sunday, forecasters say there will still be a slight breeze with some gusts out of the south/southwest around 20-25 MPH.

Following a warm and sunny Monday and Tuesday, mid-week will look wet, with periods of rain expected on Wednesday and Thursday, forecasters said.

During this period, temperatures are expected to be around the high 60s and low 70s.

On Mother’s Day itself (Sunday, May 10), early forecasts are predicting mostly sunny skies with a high in the low 70s.
