2. The wildfire near the site of a deadly plane crash in South Jersey over the weekend is fully contained as of Tuesday morning, state forest fire officials said. 4. An Atlantic County business owner has been charged after he used a drone to drop chemicals into pools that dyed them green, police said. A homeowner reported that a drone was hovering above their pool and dropped a substance that turned the water "an alarming shade of green," police said. (Read more on Patch.)
5. The state Fish and Game Council is poised to vote on a measure that would re-authorize a regulated black bear hunt in the state through 2027, if certain conditions are met. Animal rights groups are calling for a halt on the hunt's renewal, saying the most recent hunt was "revealed to be a sham" and that culling bears is "meaningless" without also focusing on non-lethal management efforts.
