Celebrate NJ Veterans At These Events This Weekend
Take a look at what's on the calendar this weekend.

NEW JERSEY— Looking for something to do this weekend in New Jersey? Veterans Day is on Saturday (Nov. 11), so there are commemorations, parades, and other events for our nation's heroes scheduled in local communities. Plus, veterans can ride a Six Flags rollercoaster or hit up several South Jersey golf courses for free.
Patch took a look at the calendar and found several events this weekend around the state.
The Ocean County Veterans Day Parade kicks off at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the Toms River Shopping Center. The post-parade ceremony will feature speakers and honored guests, a rifle salute, and the placing of the wreath on the Veteran's monument. Click here for more information.

Veterans will also be honored at the Sip in Autumn Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday at Bayville's Veterans Park, getting discounted entry. And on Sunday, the festival partners with Jersey Shore Car Shows for the Wine 'n' Shine Car Show, where donations will be accepted for local nonprofit Vetwork. Click here for more information.
For those vets who like to hit the links, former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski is offering complimentary rounds of golf at his five South Jersey locations on Nov. 13. It is available to both active and retired military personnel. Click here for more information.

In North Jersey, the borough of Fair Lawn is having a Veterans' Day breakfast on Saturday, before a ceremony and a mural unveiling at the Memorial Pool. Click here for more information.
And Michael O’Hagan, an Air Force veteran, will premiere his play "Black Friday" this Sunday in Parsippany. Proceeds benefit the Elks Club's Army of Hope, a nationwide foundation that helps veterans. Click here for more information and tickets.
