Downed Pole Closes Highway, Parkway Crash: Patch PM Traffic Digest

NEW JERSEY — Good afternoon, New Jersey! Here's what you need to know before you leave for the Thursday evening commute.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 4:36 p.m., there's a crash on NJ 23 northbound area of I-80 in Wayne Twp. 1 left lane closed.

As of 4:30 p.m., there are delays and pockets of volume on the Garden State Parkway northbound from South of Exit 143 - NJ 124 in Irvington Twp to Exit 150 - Hoover Avenue in Bloomfield. All lanes open, 7-mile delay.

As of 4:18 p.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge upper level eastbound New Jersey Side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. All lanes open. The travel time is 25 minutes on Interstate 95 from Interstate 80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 4:17 p.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway southbound from South of Essex Toll Plaza in Bloomfield to South of Exit 147 - Clinton Ave in East Orange. All lanes open, 2 1/2 mile delay.

Central Jersey

As of 4:16 p.m., there's a disabled tractor-trailer on I-287 southbound North of Exit 4 - Durham Rd in South Plainfield. 1 center lane closed.

As of 3:33 p.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound North of Toms River Toll Plaza in Toms River Twp. 1 left lane blocked.

South Jersey

As of 4:15 p.m., there are downed wires and a utility pole down on US 130 in both directions North of I-295/US 40 in Pennsville Twp. All lanes closed.

As of 4:14 p.m., there's a downed tree on I-295 southbound North of Exit 28 - NJ 168/Black Horse Pike in Barrington. Right shoulder closed.

As of 3:39 p.m., there's a crash on I-76 westbound West of Exit 1B - I-295 in Gloucester City. Left shoulder closed, use caution.

Transit Updates

Northeast Corridor Line train #3898, the 5:31 p.m. departure from Trenton, is canceled due to equipment issues resulting from earlier canceled train #3855. Take train #3868, the 6:08 p.m. departure from Trenton.

Morris & Essex Line train #430, the 5:15 p.m. arrival into Hoboken, is up to 15 minutes late due to earlier mechanical issues.

Northeast Corridor Line train #3857, the 5:11 p.m. arrival into Trenton, is up to 20 minutes late due to making additional stops for canceled train #3855.

North Jersey Coast Line train #3511, the 5:05 p.m. departure from PSNY, is canceled due to equipment availability. Take train #3513, the 5:29 p.m. departure from PSNY.

Atlantic City Rail Line service is subject to up to 30-minute delays in both directions due to signal issues near Egg Harbor City.

As of 4:17 p.m., Newark Light Rail Mainline and Broad Street Extension service is suspended in both directions due to power issues.

North Jersey Coast Line train #3363, the 5:01 p.m. departure from PSNY, is canceled due to equipment availability resulting from earlier canceled train #3320. Take train #3265, the 5:20 p.m. departure from PSNY.

All other NJ Transit rail lines are running on or close to schedule.

Weather
