Vehicle Flips On GSP, Lanes Blocked: NJ Patch Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel today, April 25, 2022.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 8:27 a.m., there are delays at the Lincoln Tunnel south tunnel eastbound New Jersey side - Toll Plaza. The travel time is 30 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side.

As of 8:18 a.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkway northbound from North of Exit 148 - John F Kennedy Dr North in Bloomfield to Exit 153A - NJ 3 in Clifton. All lanes open. There is a 5-mile delay.

As of 7:42 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on I-280 westbound west of Exit 9 - Pleasant Avenue/CR 660 in West Orange. 1 left lane closed.

As of 7:15 a.m., there are delays at the Holland Tunnel south tunnel eastbound from New Jersey to New York. All lanes open, 40-minute travel time.

As of 7:07 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge lower level eastbound from New Jersey in Fort Lee to New York. All lanes open, 30-minute travel time.

As of 1 a.m., there's construction on NJ 31 northbound from north of CR 632/Asbury Anderson Road to south of CR 628/Jackson Valley Road in Washington Township. Right shoulder closed until 9 a.m.

Central Jersey

As of 8:30 a.m., there's construction on NJ 35 southbound south of CR 629/Ortley Avenue in Toms River. 1 right lane and shoulder closed until 2 p.m.

As of 7:37 a.m., there are delays on NJ 29 northbound from NJ 129 in Hamilton to Warren Street in Hamilton.

As of 7:30 a.m., there's construction on NJ 440 in both directions ramp to CR 514/Woodbridge Avenue in Edison. Right shoulder closed until 3:30 p.m.

As of 7:30 a.m., there's construction on NJ 29 northbound south of U.S. 202 in Lambertville. Right shoulder closed until 3:30 p.m.

As of 4:04 a.m., there's construction on NJ 175 northbound from West Upper Ferry Road to NJ 29 in Ewing Township. All lanes closed and detoured until further notice.

As of 4:03 a.m., there's construction and long-term road construction on NJ 29 southbound from NJ 175/Scenic Drive to West Upper Ferry Road in Ewing Township. 1 right lane closed until further notice, use caution.

As of 4:02 a.m., there's construction on I-295 in both directions between Delaware River/Scudder Falls Bridge in Ewing Township and Exit 73-Scotch Road in Hopewell. Both shoulders closed and one lane may be closed until further notice.

As of 3:44 a.m., there's electrical repairs on NJ 35 northbound at CR 17/Bangs Avenue in Neptune Township. All lanes closed and detoured.

As of 3:30 a.m., there's crash and overturned vehicle on the Garden State Parkway local lanes northbound north of Exit 116-PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. As of 7:16 a.m., one left lane is still blocked.

South Jersey

As of 8:25 a.m., there are delays on NJ 70 westbound between CR 627/Cooper Landing Road and CR 644/Grove Street/Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill.

As of 7:51 a.m., there's a crash on I-295 northbound north of Exit 28- NJ 168/Black Horse Pike in Haddon Heights. Right shoulder closed, delays due to an incident.

As of 7:44 a.m., there are delays on NJ 55 northbound from Exit 58 - Deptford Center Road to south of NJ 42 in Deptford.

As of 6:58 a.m., there are delays on NJ 42 northbound from Exit 12 - NJ 41 in Deptford to I-295 in Bellmawr. All lanes open, delays due to volume.

As of 6:38 a.m., there are delays on I-76 eastbound from Exit 1A - NJ 42/I-295 in Bellmawr to Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City. All lanes open, delays due to volume.

As of 6:47 a.m., there's construction on the Atlantic City Expressway eastbound area west of Exit 9 - Atlantic City International Airport/CR 563 in Egg Harbor Township. 2 right lanes and shoulder closed until 4 p.m.

As of 5:44 a.m., there's roadwork on the Garden State Parkway northbound between south of Exit 4- NJ 47 in Lower Township and south of Exit 6 - NJ 147 in Middle Township. 1 right lane is closed.

As of 4:04 a.m., there's construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham Township and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on July 15.

Transit Updates

North Jersey Coast Line and Northeast Corridor NJ Transit lines are under temporary schedule adjustments are in effect for the next six to eight weeks to accommodate major repair work to the Laurel Avenue Bridge in Holmdel. See here for updated timetables.

Main/Bergen/Port Jarvis train #1147, the 7:53 a.m. from Hoboken, is currently delayed up to 20 minutes due to mechanical issues.

All other NJ Transit lines are running on or close to schedule.

As of 7:54 a.m., HOB-WTC PATH Trains were delayed. Crew reported mechanical problems on a train at WTC. As of 8:39 a.m., trains are resuming normal service.

In North Jersey, NJ Transit Bus Route 154, the 7:33 a.m. from Bergen Blvd. at Oakdene Avenue (Ft. Lee) to Port Authority Bus Terminal, will not operate due to operator availability.

NJ Weather

Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 61, according to the National Weather Service, with a 5 to 10 mph breeze in the afternoon.
