Johnson & Johnson, the health and well-being product powerhouse, is set to perform 56 layoffs at their global headquarters in New Brunswick.
The business said they are moving away from its orthopedics business in its MedTech sector, therefore adjusting its workforce.
"Prudential Insurance" is following suit and dropping its employee count at its base in Newark by 53.
According to Insurance Business Mag, the layoffs are part of a continuous assessment of its organizational structure, and that it periodically reviews its operations to ensure alignment with customer needs and broader strategies.
As described in the WARN filings, all of the 183 employees across the three companies will be laid off effective between July 17 and Aug. 21.
